Avocado Appetizer with Yogurt, Garlic, Micro Greens and Chive Flower



Chive flower is a the first flower I ate this summer from our garden. I was standing by the chives picking off the flowers to promote more leaf growth, and I thought they might taste good. They certainly do - a crunchy, mild onion flavor. I have since added them to few dishes, from baked potatoes to salads of every description. My favorite and most attractive is avocado appetizer with yogurt, garlic, and micro greens.

Homemade Beet Pasta & SAVORA GIVEAWAY



This is a colorful pasta, made from roasted beets with a sweet aftertaste and a lovely bright color that marries best with cheese sauce and fresh herbs thats show off its beauty. Small beets will impart magenta color; larger beets will impart a darker, almost purplish color. Some of the color will inevitably leach out into the water, but the cooked pasta will still be quite bright.

Russian Monday: "Kartofelnye Zrazy" - Potato Cutlets Stuffed with Mushrooms



Zrazy is a dish of Lithuanian, Belarusian, Polish and Ukrainian cuisines. Word “zrazy” is of polish origin, it means “slices”, “cut pieces” of something. Despite its Polish name, for the first time the dish is mentioned in the Lithuanian historical records of 14th century.

Mushroom Risotto with Coconut Milk



I started my risotto only with garlic, mushrooms and rice. The rest of the ingredients I was choosing during the process.  The coconut milk proved to be an excellent idea for the taste and touch of turmeric has given risotto a nice bright color. The end result - exquisitely tasty dish!

It would be possible to write a whole cookbook on the various ways of preparing and serving hamburgers. This recipe is an interesting Summer dish, beautifully seasoned. When served with different sauces and sides, these burgers make particularly tempting outdoor food.
